Amy & Ryan’s Wooltower Wedding Photography

Amy and Ryan’s Wedding 😁 I am so excited to share another wonderful wedding. As usual I started off my day at the brides house photographing details and natural shots of the bride tribe getting make up and hair done. The bride had all her items set out ready to photograph including the dress who was supplied by Marie Me Bridal. Just look at the stationary by Perfect Day! Make up was by Joanna McMullan Make Up and hair by Ciara Armstrong Hair and both are fab at what they do. It was a great start to the day with plenty of laughs from the girls. Sean from Timeless productions was the videographer and as usual, we were had some craic on the morning. The flowers arrived while we were there and stunning work as usual by Flowers at the Mill. Wedding Cars were provided by Logybear Wedding Cars who have some amazing cars. i have worked with these guys loads this year. They do a fab job too!

Amy and Ryan had their wedding ceremony in West Church Presbyterian in Ballymena and were married by Rev Daniel Kane. He is a gentleman and always a joy to work along side. I met the boys at the church and got some nice pictures of them before the guests started arriving. This is something I recommend as you’re not getting photo’s in front of people. Most men are nervous enough at this stage! Ryan and the boy’s are lovely fella’s. Great craic, respectable, and of course a little nervous.

The ceremony went well and I’m sure some people were glad to get it over as it seems to be the most nerve wrecking part of the day. It makes such a difference having a calm and professional celebrant which the Rev Kane certainly is. They had some time to mingle outside the church which also gives me some time to get natural shots of guests. The cars then transported the wedding party to The Wooltower Wedding Venue in Broughshane.

There are some amazing wedding venue’s around and The Wooltower is right up there with the best. The Wooltower has it all. A beautiful area for the drinks reception (inside or out), it is amazing for photographs (you don’t need to walk far either), the reception room is exceptional and the dancing room (which is the ceremony room too) is a separate room meaning you walk straight from one to the other. The staff are very friendly and a joy to work with too.

We had plenty of time to get photographs done and then leave time for the bride and groom to enjoy their day. This is really how I love to see the day going. As important as photographs are, it is also important to let a couple enjoy their day. The sun was shining and the craic was flowing so the afternoon just flew in. Amy and Ryan opted to have their speeches during the drinks reception which I think was such a great idea. It made them slightly more casual and also meant when they were called for the meal it was straight in and time to serve. I’m sure the kitchen was happy about this!

My next duty was photographing the cake cutting which was provided by Gemma’s Cakes. As usual, what a fab cake. I’ve tasted Gemma’s cake many a time. We actually had offices beside each other in The Wedding Centre a few years ago, which meant I was like a magpie hanging around and to be honest I actually don’t normally like cake so much. I could even tell you all the flavours she does 🙈, they are all amazing.

After the meal was over Sean and I stole bride and groom for a few outdoor evening shots as the sun was down. This is a perfect time to take a breather and you get some different looking shots too. Amy and Ryan were so accommodating all day and just went with the flow. After 10 mins outside it was time to head on for the first dance. The band Amy and Ryan chose was Mojo who once again done an amazing job. The crowd just loved the entertainment!

It is a real privilege for me to photograph amazing people and work along side amazing suppliers. I genuinely Love my job. It is people who make it so enjoyable and I have them to thank. Thank you Amy and Ryan for being so accommodating and for allowing me into your day. Thank you to all the suppliers I worked with on the day - feel free to share and enjoy any of the photos on your social pages or websites and tag me back when possible @steven_neeson or www.stevenneeson.co.uk .

Stay blessed, Steven.
