Andrew & Christine's Wedding Photography, Ballyclare Presbyterian & Barnabys Restaurant Ballyrobert
29th December 2011
Firstly, I'd like to congratulate Andrew and Christine French on their marriage on 28th December 2011. I had the privilege of documenting their journey from the engagement through to the wedding day. Back in 2010, and shortly after Andrew proposed to Christine, we had an engagement shoot down at Portstewart strand. This is where the journey began...

The lovely couple spent the next 18 months planning their big day which was soon decided to take place in Christine's home Church (Ballyclare Presbyterian), with celebrations at Barnaby's in Ballyrobert. The couple asked me to join them to take some photos at the wedding rehearsal. This is a good way to get the feel of a church so that I know the order of the service and also to work out any technical issues. This particular church proved to be quite challenging in terms of lighting but it all came together in the end. Here are a few images from the rehearsal.

The weather over Christmas seemed fairly mild, though after checking the forecast for the 28th I quickly realised that strong gales and rain were to dominate the day. This proved to be true, as the morning started off very windy as I travelled to the beauty parlour and the brides house to take some pre-ceremony images.

I see many different moods when entering a brides (or grooms) house on the wedding morning. Christine, the bridesmaids, along with the brides mother and father were very chilled and seemed to hold little nerves. After Christine opened a present from her hubby-to-be, they all enjoyed a good old bacon buttie made by the brides father, just before the dresses went on...

Meanwhile, the Groom & co had arrived at the church which was only a short journey away. When I arrived it was dry, but looked like the heavens were about to open and the wind was fierce. I managed to get a few images outside of the guys and before too long the rest of the bridal party had arrived...

As always, there was some time for a laugh:)

Here are some more favourites from the day...

The bridal part pictures were taken at a lovely Garden Centre close to the reception although with the very windy conditions and another black cloud appearing, we all had to dash to the car...

The heavens opened but I just about got the chance to photograph the girls funky boots:)We then continued the photographs at the reception.

I even jumped in for one myself!!

Then the party commenced!

One last picture... this young lad was so funny... he danced the night away and was so so serious. When he seen the camera, he froze a move:)

Thanks for viewing.
