Fifteen years. Over 800 weddings. 48 National and International industry awards, including Overall Wedding Photographer of the Year, more than once.
I've photographed weddings across Ireland's most iconic castles and estates, from the Antrim coast to Connemara to Kerry. I know how to read a room, find light where there isn't any, and make two people who hate having their photo taken look incredible.
That's what fifteen years actually buys you.

Wedding photography is a craft. I genuinely believe that. Some of the best photographers in the world try it and fail, because it takes a very particular kind of person to be good at it.
You can't plan it. Every wedding is different, every room is different, every couple is different. You have to be fast, calm, and completely comfortable working off the cuff. You have to read people quickly, find light that isn't always obvious, and make decisions in seconds that you can't undo.
Here's the thing most people don't know. Most couples tell me they don't want posed photos and they're right. But most people also don't naturally know how to stand to get the best out of their dress, their suit, or the light they're standing in. So there's a craft to that too. I call it flow posing, gentle direction that gets you into position without it ever feeling like a photoshoot. It takes minutes. You barely notice it's happening.
But the images I'm proudest of are never the posed ones. They're the in-between moments. The half-second before you compose yourself. The look across the room when you think nobody's watching. There's a very fine line between a good professional photograph and something that wins an award. I've spent fifteen years and a significant amount of money learning exactly where that line is.

The Vision: Artistry Without Compromise
Most couples tell me the same thing before their wedding. They hate having their photo taken. They don't want to spend the day being pulled away from their guests for endless posed shots. They just want to enjoy themselves and come away with photos that actually look like them. That's exactly who I work best with.
I spend most of the day invisible. Watching, following, staying out of the way while everything actually happens. The speeches, the chaos of the dancefloor, the quiet moment between you and your mum before you walk out. I'm there for all of it without you ever feeling like you're performing for a camera.
When the light is right, (I'll know when it is) I'll pull you and your bridal party away fora short while. We'll find a quiet corner of the grounds, or a corridor, or whatever the venue gives us. No stiff posing. No awkward instructions. Just the two of you, looking the way you actually look when you're relaxed, in the best possible light.
That's the balance. Real moments documented properly. The right amount of portraits that belong in a magazine. I always strive to show your venue off too - the way I see it is, you've picked the venue for a reason, so I take it you'll want to see it in your photographs.

Some couples want the full picture. Stills and motion, documented by one person, through one creative lens. If that sounds like you, take a look at the Hybrid Narrative.

"Steven was absolutely amazing leading up to and during our wedding day! He made the photography session so relaxing withoutban awkward minute! The photographs turned out fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed scrolling through them all after! So many of our guests commented on his mannerly approach in ensuring that everyone got a chance to take any photos they wanted.
We couldn't recommend Steven enough!"

"There are not enough positive words to describe how positively Steven impacted our wedding day.
Steven was friendly, informative, knowledgable and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. He allowed us to have the wedding morning and wedding day that we dreamed of, all while taking the most stunning photos effortlessly, slipping into the background and allowing us to be natural and candid. We could not be happier with our wedding photos - the only problem is, how do we possibly choose what to use for our album!
We could not recommend Steven anymore to any bride & grooms to be."

"Thank you so much to Steven!
Before we even booked Steven we knew he was the photographer for us, his photography is STUNNING.
After booking we had our engagement shoot and Steven was nothing far from professional, good crack and made our whole afternoon enjoyable!
Our wedding day came around, we were confident that Steven knew exactly what we wanted from the amazing communication he had kept with us.
His photography not only met, but exceeded any expectations we had and we are so grateful!
Steven is just so chilled which made our anxious minds even more so at ease. He came into the house and worked away himself which again took so much pressure off me. From
Helping with bridal prep to even carrying my dress at one stage- Steven is an amazing photographer but a lovely person to have around for your day.
Steven ensured we got a sneakpeak of our photos within 24H which again- is an amazing turn around for a busy man! He really made us feel so special.
The talented photos speak for themselves and we are honoured to have Steven as part of our day and cannot wait to see the finalised photos!"

"We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding! He came to both mine and my husband’s houses and was so friendly and professional throughout the whole day to us and all our friends and family. He really listened to everything we wanted and made sure every request was captured perfectly. He was so helpful, quick to respond, and such a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer — thank you for making our day so special!"
